Sunday : Fine
We couldn't get any tickets to Da Vinci's last super today, we definitely needed to have booked well in advance for this. We have been trying for almost two weeks, but with us arriving in Milan over the weekend, the website was sold out for the month. The only chance was to phone on the day, because that's when the website updates. Never mind we will leave it for another day.
With no tickets, we decided we would go for a walk to an area of Milan and along the way visit some clothes shops. I needed some new T-shirts and Kim needed some jeans and sandals.
On our walk we just had to get another couple panzerotties (is that the plural?), and then we stopped off at a few stores. Kim picked a new pair of jeans, and I got a couple shirts. It took awhile to find a large sized shirt, they were all S or XS? Kim got a nice pair of sandals for an absolute bargain as well.
We eventually got into the centre and past the duomo, then continued on to a park close to Navigli to eat our panzerotties. The streets are very quiet today, hardly any cars or people, quite a lot of shops were closed too.
Navigli is nice, it's apparently filled with artists and students looking for inspiration. Navigli has a few canals that are lined with nice colourful buildings that are houses, galleries, restaurants and pubs. The pubs and restaurants were offering buffet meal deals. The meals seem good, but they sting you with the drink prices. €6 for a small bottle of beer.
After a walk around we caught the metro back across town, and it seemed that the stores that were closed in the morning had opened back up. So we paid a visited to a grocery store and bought some noodles to have with our salad some sparking wine and beer to have on our balcony.
