I had an interview today with a family to take care of two kids Wednesday mornings. So I went there, met the family and they will discuss and email me and then I will ponder and email them, it's always this long process of emails etc until something is decided. But that's how it goes and that's how it's going to be. So after the interview, which was in their home just outside of Paris towards the south, I got back on the RER (the trains that take you to the outskirts of Pars) and continued away from Paris till I got to Versailles. It was a good 4 stops away from the family's home so I decided to go for it. I got on the train with all those tourists and attempted to read my French book (I understand words, sometimes miss large concepts, but it's more than I understood before so I'd consider that to be progress). So I went to Versailles, walked around the little city, bought a sandwich and went to the chateau. I sat on one of the walls and ate my sandwich and watched the people walking toward this giant palace. It was rather cold today, like it suddenly got cold in Paris. So I ate my sandwich and as I was no longer walking, I got cold rather quickly and as it was approaching 4 and I was supposed to meet up with Gabe at 5ish, I decided to head out. So I came home by train (various trains actually) checked my mail, wrote a few emails and am now waiting till Gabe arrives so that the two of us will head to my neighbors' place for dinner. And tomorrow: soccer! Things are looking good. Yay.
