Day 4 - another fun fab fanatic day. The weather has been great. We had a sleep in today, which we really needed. Our Citroen driver picked us up and away we went on a 2 hour drive around Paris.mwe went down so many back streets which was good as we got to see some things the average tourist doesn't see. We could stop where we went and the driver was very knowledgable and friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. We managed to cross a lot of "to do's" after this tour. He dropped us off at the Louvre. There are not many tourists here nowadays the line was only 30 minutes long. We were standing in the line chatting away to other linees when we realized we can just walk straight through as we had the Museum Pass - DOH !!!! My imagination had the louvre (the glass pyramid ) all by itself but it is surrounded by apartments that the kings used to live in and it was awe-inspiring & everywhere you turned another photo opportunity. We walked in and oir mouths just droped - this place is HUGE. We spent 3 hours wondering around but we made sure we saw Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. To my surprise the Mona Lisa was sooooooo small and you had to fight through camera city to get a photo. I would hate to see here in peak times!!! After which we walked back to the apartment - so today we walked 6.18kms and yesterday we walked 8.49 kms - no wonder we are so tired of a night and tonights no exception. Early night tonight. We are off to Bruges for the day, by train and we are really looking forward to all that chocolate yummo. xx

Jen Oh it sounds just wonderful. It makes a difference doesn't it having a local guide. You will be built like a greyhound when you have finished with all the walking you are doing.
