Day 3 - we walked out little cotton socks off foday in this glorious sunny weather. We caught the RER to Arc de Triomphe had coffee on a cafe sidewalk on Champs Élysées, which I must admit the prices were very reasonable. We love taking the time to just sit and watch. For a Sunday there weren't too many people around. We joined the queue and today the climb as free !!!! We were on the stairs going up and up and around and around at the same time, it's a spiral staircase. Though I'm sure in summer it would be stifling !! Before we knew it we were at the top, 50 meters in height and wow the views were amazing. We spent about 40 minutes then climbed back down and started our walk down Champs Élysées, both sides. We meet so many Aussies here it felt like home, particularly when we stopped in McDonalds for a drink and again we sat up the top by a window and watched the world go by. Then we walked down to Tuilleries (?spelling) walked through this very large and picturesque garden. One thing about Paris they have gardens everywhere. Getting very hot by 2.00pm so we headed for the Museum D'Orsay and spent over 90 minutes going this this excellent museum. Popped on the RER and headed back to the apartment. We went across the road for dinner, which here in Paris dinner is after 7.30. Anyway the food was soooooo nice and I, wait for it, are you sitting down, I had one snail soaked in lots if garlic, chewy though. Another fab fun day can't wait until tomorrow for more!!!
