We were awake bright and early again at 05.30 ish with the sunrise and the sound of the birds. After packing our tents up we went for a 2 hour walk to Manning Gorge with the reward of a beautiful big swimming hole at the end of the walk. We enjoyed ourselves swimming and jumping into the pool. It was a tough walk due to the heat (38 degrees) and I felt as though I left a drop of sweat on every rock! The remainder of our day was spent on the bus travelling towards El Questro. We drove with 4WD through the Pentacost river and saw the Cockburn ranges (where we hike tomorrow) in all their glory. The scenery was fascinating, and felt even more beautiful since our journey so far had been on a dirt road with flat landscape and nothing but dense trees. We arrived at El Questro campsite in time to put our tents up before dark and then enjoyed Kangaroo for dinner.
