We finally arrived in Broome yesterday after an amazing 3 days in Karijini NP, which has some stunning gorges. It was crazily hot at 35 degrees but cooler once we had got to the bottom of the gorges. The group had so much fun, and I did loads of stuff I never would have thought possible prior to this trip, like jumping into pools off of a height, and walking across a tree trunk that had well and truly wedged itself in a narrow part of the gorge, with a fair drop below. My favourite part though was the spider walk, where we had to get through a narrow part of the gorge by using our hands and feet like spiderman on the wall edges. There wasn't a big drop below but it was so much fun. I felt like I achieved loads while I was there. I also got the worst bruise that Brendo (our tour guide) said he had ever seen, when I fell about 2.5 meters down a rock wall when I was climbing back onto a platform after a swim. I found it really funny, and it didn't hurt and all I ended up with were a few large but colourful bruises. We slept under the stars in Karijini and saw the milky way which was cool and there was a resident Huntsman spider in the bathroom which was massive and a snake seen near to where we slept but neither bothered me. I almost feel like a different person! We rocked up in Broome yesterday afternoon and all were greatful for our lunch stop at Mcdonalds. The evening was spent at Cable beach on a camel ride followed by watching the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen, the sun looked huge as it sank into the sea and made the sky light up with fire like colours. Accompanied by a few beers and good company, it was the perfect end to a great tour. We are all staying at the same hostel for a few nights, so we will continue to do stuff together, although I think it will be all about relaxing at the beach now and chilling around the hostel pool since the temperature is about 38 degrees in the middle of the day here! I'm really pleased with my tan and can't believe I've gotten through half a bottle of suncream in about 2 weeks! I can't imagine coming back to cold Britain. I'm now in Broome for 5 days before departing for Darwin on the 22nd Oct for another action packed 9 days with hopefully less bruises J
