Was a slow start to the day after been out till very early this morning. Got on the bus and headed along the coast line. Crossed over a small inlet and continued to drive through beautiful country side. The mountains and forests of Montenegro are not tiring to look at.... Just hard to stay awake on the bus. Crossed the boarder into Croatia and arrived at dubrovnik around lunch time. It is beautiful coast line to drive along slightly tight corners. Arrived and the bus wasn't allowed into the old city so we had to make a slight detour and were dropped off a walk from the walls. It was very hot weather. Walked around inside the old city briefly and then found a nice restaurant for lunch. Eat fish fillet... I have been trying to eat some seafood while I am traveling along the coast line even if I don't think I really enjoying it too much yet. Maybe the taste will grow on me. Walking around the city again after lunch. Stopped briefly at a market. Had sown delicious candied orange peel. Not sure if that is local or not but tasted good. Was trying to stop and enjoy the buildings and the Venetian architureture but was so hot and crowded just couldn't. Thought about climbing the walls but to hot. I am back in a few days time with the Croatia sailing so hopefully at a different time of the day and will be better prepared for the walk. Visited the oldest pharmacy in the city or something like that. Enter as 3 young English speaking girls and the pharmacy lady acted like she couldn't serve us and called over the young male assistant. I couldn't understand what they were saying in the background but it certainly made him blush.
Back on the bus for a couple of hours before arriving in split. Had time to check in and shower before headed out for dinner. Ate at an ok restaurant in the water front. I think some of the ordering was lost in translation but the food was tasty. Meet back at the hostel and enjoyed a quite drink there before heading out to see the local nightlife. It was still really hot out and inside the bar with lots of people wasn't great. Went for a walk through the old city and the water front. It was a Sliczny way to end the tour.
