Day one topdeck Croatia sailing-
Woke up earlier then needed and then just had to wait for the showers. Showered and packed my bag before heading down for breakfast... Meet a girl that is also going to be on my topdeck sailing tour. Said some smutny goodbyes. Walked down to the port and was looking all over for a person with topdeck shirt on. Couldn't see one so eventually asked a lady from katarine sailing and going out that is the parent company that has the boats. Found my boat and checked in. We were due to be on board till 12 so went back into split briefly walked around found shop and brought an international sim for my phone. Figured if I am going to be driving around then I should probably have a phone that works. Put the sim in and it doesn't work. Phone appears to be locked despite talking to telstra before I left to get it unlocked. So annoying... Walked around the markets and brought an inflation lilo for swimming off the boat with. Back on board a little before 12 and secured the double bottom bunk in my room. Had a safety talk and then introduction to the group. The group is around 28 people all Australian! Shouldn't be surprised by that. Set sail just after 1pm. We sailed for a couple of hours before stopping in a small cove and jumped off the boat and went for a swim in the ocean. The water is really clear but cool. Swam for an hour or so then sailed into milna a small town on the island of Brac. Had time to walk around but was a small place so just enjoyed the rustic stone buildings set against the bay and port. The boat has no wifi or Internet so when in port we just have to visit local cafes and use there Internet. Went to an old wine cellar and tried some local produce. They had grappa... Wasn't to bad but strong. Had dinner on board the boat enjoyed happy hour. Headed out to a local bar for a drink but was hot and no dancing so didn't stay very long.
