Hello everyone! Well, we're here at Angie and Steve's house enjoying a lovely sunny day (at last!). The wedding was lovely although the weather was dodgy. They'd planned to have the ceremony outside in a gazebo on a lake but had set up inside the marquee in case it rained. Luckily it turned fine in time and it was a very special ceremony with family and friends. We ate and danced in the marquee (yes, John too!) till late. The guests all mixed well, Kiwis and English, and it was altogether a lovely relaxed friendly occasion.
Yesterday, Sunday, we left our motel and were quite pleased to get 'home' to the van! We came to Angie's for a wonderful spit-roasted lamb barbie with most of the wedding guests again plus some of their neighbours.
Last night we camped on their lawn and were woken by the chickens clucking round the van!
They have a lovely home here, on a big plot, with two horses, chickens, cats, a veggie plot and lots of roses! You can see the sea from many of the windows and it's a short walk from the house at the end of the road.
Having a quiet morning here and are hoping to head down to Dunedin later today. The boulders in this pic will be on the way! We may need to find a camp site tonight as we suspect the tanks may need emptying/refilling!
That's all for now, hope everything ok with all back home. Mary/Mum xxx
....Bernie nearly got barbi-ed yesterday!.....again.
