Waahh!! We can't get the boiler to work, the internet is down and the phone line is too fuzzy to speak to the technical support people to fix it! I won't even mention how the light switch in the bathroom is broken and there's a permanent fog inside the Astra!! (We're in the library at the moment).
Looking forward to seeing you soon, we're camping out in the living room in front of the fire until you get back!
I hope you get this message, it was interesting reading about your trek. We'll probably pop back to the library later in the week so if you reply we'll be able to check it then.
In other news, Scrabble is going well, Becky scored 42 off 'farrow' and 'foxy' in the same go and I scored 346 yesterday.

Hi Mary (and Rod & John!)
Have just been reading your blog - it certainly looks like you are all having an amazing time and quite an adventure! I can now see from the messages below - its your birthday Mary (I know I should have remembered!) so Happy Birthday. Coincidence that I just thought to myself today - must see what Mary is up to on her travels... Will look forward to hearing what happens next - have fun! love Claire (and Andy of course!) xxx
Mary
Thanks for your birthday messages and indeed cards, from Mum, Stephen and Paul& Ros, delivered with my breakfast at our sand-fly infested hut on the 3rd day of the Kepler Track walk! 'Nice meal' in the evening was re-hydrated in the bag sweet and sour lamb at a lovely hut on the beach beside Manapouri Lake.
Certainly a memorable birthday! xxx

Happy Birthday mum! I think this is the first time we've not seen you on your birthday so it's strange you being on the other side of the world!
I'm sure you'll have a memorable day, are you going out for a nice meal this evening?
Present and card to follow!!
Paul & Ros
Happy Birthday Mary!! I don't know if you will be able to pick this up but we do hope you have a great day... cake and candles on the summit of Mt Luxmore perhaps?
Still cold here, heavy frost this morning! But it's beginning to get lighter!
Take care, love to hear from you when you get a chance!
Love Paul & Ros xx
