Paul Jan 1, 2010 Just testing... hope it works; I think I got the sum right! Midday sun altitude in Singapore on 12th Jan is about 67deg, so nowhere near 'overhead'; in fact it's slightly higher in Christchurch at 68deg! New crescent moon round about the 18th after sunset should be interesting - to the 'right' of the sunset instead of 'left' as we see it. Are you taking a video camera? Try and get some albatrosses if you're going to wherever it is (Dunedin?) Hope the preparations are going smoothly, love Paul & Ros xx
