Today we were leaving Abbotsford to return to Vancouver but on the way back we stopped at The Great Escape, a kids play centre in Langley.
Tracy, Bill, Edna and I sat down to get drinks while Molly went off to play. She had fun playing with the other kids, especially on the interactive light floor, where they could choose a variety of games. Dodgeball was the favourite. They also had the nerf style air guns but not a large area to play in as she has had elsewhere. At 11, Molly and I got harnessed up to try their AirTrek. This was a series of rope bridges and high wires above where the bowling goes on. Once hooked on you can choose which level of difficulty crossing you want to do. We had a 15 minute session and by the end Molly had much more confidence, at one point even letting herself fall off the cargo net because she trusted her harness. After that Molly continued to play, mainly on the Lava Slide, until it was time for lunch when we moved on to a local mall. When lunch was finished Molly and I headed to Toys R Us with the remainder of her birthday money but couldn't find anything small enough to fit in the suitcase that she wanted, but she did try on some great bike helmets.
We got back to Lynn's, through the heavy traffic and then it was time to say goodbye to Bill and Ed. We had a rest in the afternoon before Ann arrived. We had dinner and made are way to the village for our 3rd Friday music night. Tonights band were The Bobcats, they played 50's and 60's music but tonight the viewers chairs had been laid out differently, giving more room to dance and once again Molly danced with Matt, mainly to the Beatles. During the evening Molly and Nate has big ice creams while Matt had a bar of chocolate.
At the end of the night, after Molly and Tracy had gone to bed, I watched Shutter Island(well most of it, there were a couple of head drops from me in the middle) with Nate and Lyndon.
