Chinatown Po, 418, Main St, Vancouver, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia, British Columbia
Today we went with Lynn to take Nathan to work. Nearby was a flea market so we had a look around there, then in golftec, Lyndon's new business.
Lynn had to pop into park royal so dropped us off first. We picked up some baby carrots for us to munch on, then returned home with Lynn.
About 3 pm Lynn dropped us at the seabus and we made our way into town , first to see a large music shop I spotted a few days ago. Nice to look around but didn't buy.On the main street there were two road closures, one for a skateboard block party and the other a Brazilian festival with lots of food and music.
We then went towards Chinatown via a Tim Hortons for coffee and Tim bits. Molly had a play in a park nearby. As we arrived some Bollywood style dancers we performing and teaching some moves that we joined in with. Once they had finished we looked around the market then picked up some noodles and pancake rolls to eat.
There were lots of unusual sweet dishes for sale but we picked up some wheel cakes, a sort of sponge cake with either peanut butter, custard or nutella inside.
Performing later were some street dancers, who involved Molly and another girl she teamed up with.
As there were fireworks starting at 10, around 8:30 we left Chinatown and picked up an aquabus to take us along false creek. Lots of boats were gathering in the waters off English bay as the sun set and at 10 the twenty-five minutes of fireworks went off. There were thousands of people on the waterfront and they all wanted to get home after. We had to get two buses with a fairly long wait for both. We got back to the house just gone 12.
