We were up early to get the 2 busses out to Kahalui airport to pick up our hire car from Alamo. We booked their smallest car, a Chevrolet Aveo but were offered an irresistable upgrade option - a Ford Mustang Covertible!!!!! Being Nick's dream car we couldn't say no could we?!

We got to choose our car from the parking bays, there was only 1 red Mustang left and we heard the couple in front of us saying they wanted that last red one so Nick sprinted past them and sat in the drivers seat of it!! haha. The car is beautiful.

With the top down and sunglasses on we drove out of the airport in style and headed to the supermarket. After dropping bits back to the hostel we drove to Iao Valley where we walked around the valleys getting great views of Maui and the Iao needle.

We went back to the hostel to get our beach stuff when Nick saw a truck reverse into our Mustang!! Luckily there is only a slight scuff which is barely noticeable but we have taken the guys details just incase! Nick was so angry!

We drove out to Makena, to Big Beach, cruising along the highway with the top down and music loud - loving it!! We had a couple of hours at the beach where Nick body surfed the waves the entire time, getting munched once or twice!! Whilst watching Nick I saw a hump back whale jump fully out of the water, do a full 360' turn and dive back in, showing its tail in the sunlight on the way back into the water. It was fantastic, I could see it in such detail as it wasn't far out at all. On the drive back we stopped for ice creams!!
