The kids managed to stay quiet until 7.15. It was freezing cold and so we all needed to rug up just to walk to the toilet block! We lit the campfire and had began the long process of making breakfast for everyone - cooking a piece of toast takes forever under our grill and the kids eat through 6 slices each!! The other van moved on this morning so we had the entire camp to ourselves although the Ranger did pay a visit mid morning. We spent the morning studying, taking it very slowly with a lot of breaks and we managed to cover a lot of work. We even continued after lunch!! Much to the kids' distress, we took them off for another walk and this time walked down to the Wollomombi River. There were some stunning views of the Gorge along the way and once we reached the river the kids refused to walk any further, wanting to play in the water instead. I decided to carry on and finish the walk off and in the end Jonny came with me, as he didn't want me to be alone!! He chatted all the way there and back and in the end enjoyed the walk as much as I did!! By the time we got back to the others Matty had fallen in the water and complained all the way home. Back at the camp two more campers had arrived but were as far away from us as possible - maybe it's the WA plates!! We lit the fire and had dinner sitting around it and then sat and watched the stars and chatted until bedtime. This time the possums came out to join us!
