Tally woke up at 6 am and Jonny wasn't too far behind her. After a slow walk up to the toilet block we sat in the sunshine trying to get warm but in the end I had to boil the kettle and make a hottie. At this point Tally jumped onto my knee and fell fast asleep and it took me a while to realize I could have gone back to bed!! Nick slept in until 8 when the smell of coffee got him out of bed and we sat in the sunshine and watched a number of people pack up and move on after the noisy exploits of last night. We had such a slow breakfast that it rolled into lunch and we decided to have another day off school. Through out the day vans rolled in and set up camp all around us but they seemed a nice crowd - lots of oldies or families with kids. Matty, Jonny and Anna were brave enough to approach one family and soon had a game of cricket going with their children. Later in the afternoon they invited Matty and Jonny to have a go in their kayaks, which they loved although Matty came back knee deep in mud just as dinner was being served!! We ate around the campfire but none of the kids ate very much and we threw a lot away - very infuriating when Nick and I were fasting so from now on all snacks are band!! Nick showered the kids, which took forever as they were filthy while I sat and cuddled the dog - then he put us all to bed. Bliss, I was fast asleep by 9 o'clock!!
