What a dog! She slept through until 4 am and although it took a while to get her back to sleep she next woke at 7 when Anna decided it was time to get up! It was another stunning day and the sun already had a bite to it. We sat outside and had breakfast and then went off for a walk around the dam. Tally got as far as the toilet block and refused to walk any further so Nick had to carry her the entire way. This put Anna's nose out of joint, as she also wanted a carry!! We picked up some wood for the fire as we got closer to home and arrived back at the van to find the fire had started all by itself!! After a coffee, Nick and Jonny drove into the village and picked up some bread and milk while the rest of us started school. It seemed to drag on for hours as everyone had problems focusing and again we broke for lunch half way through, cooking Jaffles on the fire. Once schoolwork was all finished I took the kids for a walk to the Dam wall to try and exhaust them, as they couldn't seem to settle to a game. In the afternoons when the sun shines on the dam wall it glows a lovely red colour so we sat and watched it for a bit while the boys threw rocks into the water - at last they were occupied!! By the time we got home Nick had the fire going and a glass of white poured. We had chilli con carne around the fire but didn't sit out for too long as the wind had picked up. Once the kids were showered we had a game of Gubs and then everyone had an early night. Despite plenty of protests they were all out in a flash and Nick and I enjoyed an hour of peace watching TV in bed. Even the dog was happy to go straight back to bed after a quick wee as we turned the light out!!

chelle Gee that's the first time I've read you drinking a glass of alcohol! Tally MUST be like having a new born....resorting to alcohol!
