In Austin I did a music crawl which took us to three different venues for good music and some drinking. I met a woman who had just come back from Paris. Her finance surprised her and flew to Paris for just 48 hours to arrange a marriage proposal. There we flowers, music, dancing and of course a ring and proposal. She said yes and they both flew off their separate ways - she to work in Austin and him back to his work. Her face glowed the joy of her wedding and marriage to come and hopefully babies as quick as possible as she is 40 and as she said no time to spare. Her face dimmed with her one regret her father had died on her birthday just this year and she wished he could be there. We talked a bit about grief and memories and agreed the best way to honor those gone is to live the best life you can and I added do not take less than you deserve.
