The train glides on the rails with the periodic low whisltle at each crossing. I thought of my friend Kate as we passed through the famaliar cities which seem unfamiliar from the train. The backdoor of the buildings and some homes with backyards and garages facing the train. The way the trains are sometimes camoflagued to hide them and especially the tracks from view. The train varies its speed as another train approaches on the other track. I thought of Kate who relates everyday life to bible passages each day. I thought what Kate could do with this.
I met a young kid from Alaska who is traveling around the US. He helped me with my luggage and told me his story. He reminded me of my young son and I hoped that he would also help someone on a train that looked like they could use a hand. I know he would.
I thought of Delaney and Kaiah my everyday buddies and how much I will miss those two. As morning approached you could hear the train waking up to the new day. As the sun came up over the desert the train slowed its speed and came to a stop in Tucson. First Stop.

Kate What an adventure you are on! Tucson is one of our stops when driving the Southwest. Great food. Maybe a train trip in our future. I will continue praying for safe and incredible experiences in your journey. I feel very special that you mentioned my daily message in your post.
