MeznG. In the air, on the road, river or sea again
2 days to go and we will dock in Los Angeles. The next 2 days are at sea and we have become quite accustomed to them now. We did get a tour of the stage and back stage area this morning which was interesting. It's incredible the amount of movement there is on the stage so it's very difficult for the performers as the stage is always moving.
We continue to meet incredible people at meal times and it's so interesting hearing their stories. Quite often we don't exchange names or do introductions, it's just hi where are you from? Most people either want to or have been to Australia. Today at lunch we met a couple from Canada who have travelled extensively in the Northern Hemisphere but never been south of the equator. He is a marathon runner and I would say in his late 60's, he took up long distance running when he was 50 because his son was a runner and would say to him "Dad you don't know what it's like", so he decided to start training so he could find out! His wife used to run marathons but now uses a stick due to having no feeling in her feet. He is taking part in a medical trial for Alzheimers as there is a history in his family and he laughed about the fact that because he is very fit he will probably live to 100 but won't remember any of it. Very interesting and open couple.
It's a beautiful sunny afternoon so on the balcony out of the wind it is beautiful. There have been a few sightings of whale spouts but way off in the distance. I continue to keep watch.
Tonight is the last of the formal nights and also the final production show for the singers and dancers. The shows and the variety of entertainment has been fantastic.
