This morning I woke up around 8am to find a message from Dad. He went out fishing on his Kayak around 6am, and asked me if I had brought the motor in last night. As soon as I read this I knew it must have been stolen, as he had the Kayak already, and it obviously wasn't in their cabin. I wandered down to the shore to see if I can spot him in the water. I couldn't see him, so I went started to head back to the cabin. On my way up I found Dads motor leaning against a tree!! How lucky can you be?! They must of figured out that it was a certain type if motor that couldn't be used on just any kayak. Dad caught 1 flat head, and had 3 get away. He also lost a rod overboard...
After heading back up to the cabin we all had breakfast, then Shane, Rachel, Melanie and I went out for a few hours. Checking out a few shops at Salamander Bay and Nelson Bay. We got back around 1 and found that Jess, Fred & Maureen had arrived! Fred and Maureen headed out for lunch while we stayed back for sandwiches.
After lunch we all headed to Oma & Opa's for a coffee (unannounced). Oma gave Fred his present (his birthday was yesterday). We talked and messed around for an our or so, then headed back to the cabins to get ready for Opa's birthday dinner.
We had dinner at the local bowling club. Nice place. I had the surf & turf. Medium scotch fillet with prawns and garlic sauce. One of the better ones I've had! Opa opened his present, and we took a big family photo (I will have to obtain for the blog). Didn't end up being a late night. We still ended up being the last to leave.
Shane and I bought a 3 day fishing license, so we will go out first thing tomorrow morning. I'm supposed to be getting up in 5 hours....
