Day 12: So drinking last night was probably not a good idea. However, I did wake up early af, so that was good. The fact that I got throw up all over my shorts, no. Not good. Last night I threw up all the wine that I chugged, that 13,5 % of alcohol. So I kind of woke up with a mini hangover, but it wasn't that bad. After getting ready and getting my coffee and breakfast, I was good to go.
We left this morning pretty early, and we got a tour of more of the city. We then headed to Scandinavian Green Roof institute, where we heard Klara speak to us about green roofs and their specialty in creating sustainable buildings and communities. We were able to tour and see Augustenborg, and were able to see the different types of green roofs and green walls and be able to learn about their sustainability plan.
After the tour of the roofs, we toured the Eco city and its community, and saw many of the courtyards and sustainability features that this community had. It was really cool to learn all those things. Afterwards, Jeff wanted to take us to the botanical gardens, so we strolled with our bikes across the city and viewed the gardens
Afterwards, me, Phillp, Diana, Brittany, Rasam, Stephane and Melody rode our bikes to the waterfront since we wanted to swim again in the North Sea. It was great going in the water since it was hot today. At least from biking around. So it was good, relaxing day in the sun. We then got ice cream and then headed to another beach before turning in our bikes around 6pm.
Not having our bikes was weird since we could have gotten so much farther than by foot, but it wasn't bad. Some of us went to the grocery store to buy food and brought it back with us to make food at the hostel. Once dinner was cooked and ready to eat, we all sat at the table eating and talked until late around 9pm. That's when it hit me that I was tired and should just stay in and not do much since I needed to recover.
But today was good day. I actually can't wait to get bikes for Copenhagen. Until next time.
