Day 10: Trying to walk with 30 people to the train station and getting on the train was pretty stressful. Today we were heading out to southern Sweden to Malmo, so we all left by 9am to T Central. We walked there since we couldn't take the subway. I'm so glad I bought a backpack because I saw so many people struggling to lug their hug luggage across streets and cobblestone. But the walk wasn't too bad. We got to the train station with a few minutes before our train came, and we had some time to activate our passes (thanks to Roxy). But once we got on the train and settled in, the 5 hour train ride was not bad. It was nice, we got wifi, so I was able to catch up on Suits.
Once we got to Malmo, it was raining. I didn't bring a rain coat (of course) but it wasn't too bad. The weather felt nice. Better than burning out Stockholm. After some trouble with directions, we found our hostel and made our way into our rooms, where we relaxed for a bit and got situated before our 430pm meet up with Jeff. After the meeting, he then led us on a mini city tour and had the rest of the night off, so we all headed up the Systembolaget store to get some drinks.
At this point, we were all hungry, so Rasam, David, Naor, and I went out to find food in where we met up with Phillip. We went to get falafels at this place Jalla Jalla where a local told us it was the best food place in town. And it sure was. After it raining for a few minutes, we found ourselves in a park where I got on a swing and almost died.
After our mini adventure, we headed back to the hostel. I turned in a laundry bag since I needed to do laundry so I was happy about that. After turning a bag in, we then had some drinks and played Swedish card game with a bunch of people. That's when we met Mathias, this creepy security who was watching us playing and so we invited him over to play. He was really nice, and a couple of us were able to hang out with him later that night.
After our little hangout, Rasam and I just went back to our rooms and slept.
