Day 9: Today was a lazy day. It was our last night in Stockholm, and I felt like doing nothing. I slept in (which was nice) and had breakfast around 10am, but a bunch of my friends wanted to go out and explore the city one last time, so I told myself to not cave into the laziness and just go.
So we went on a historic canal tour around the river in the city. It was really interesting to learn about the history of Sweden and its capital, and I was able to see so many beautiful buildings along the cities waterfront. After the canal, we got ice cream and we headed toward the downtown area to shop for more souvenirs. I ended up getting gifts and returning a shirt I bought at H&M a couple days ago, and then afterwards, headed back to the hostel since my group and I needed to finish our project.
I was tired and drained from walking and exploring the city multiple times, and since we didn't have our Stockholm cards, it sucked that we couldn't use public transportation (we could have, but I didn't want to pay haha). But after my group and I finished our project, a bunch of us went out to get pizza. Melody and I shared a Pompeii pizza, which had a sunny side up egg in the middle and bacon and onion bits scattered all around. It was really good. Afterwards, Phillip, Noelle and I went to go meet up with Rasam and other people at the bar since it was the last world cup game.
Getting into the bar was weird since the security guard was being an ass and giving Phillip a hard time. But once we got in, it was a lot of fun. Me and Noelle were having a good time and we left since we wanted to pack since we were leaving for Malmo the next morning. So me and Noelle left the bar before the game ended, and we got ice cream (again) and got back to the hostel where we sat and didn't pack lol but just talked about our summer travels after the program.
I finally packed, shower, and got in bed by 2am (so late), and slept until 730 where we all headed out to Malmo.
