We arrived in Bangkok evening time on Tues and you wouldnt believe it. It was actually raining as we landed :-/ We took the new express train into the city and it wasnt till i stepped out that i got the welcome blast of heat that tells you its a different country :) We flagged down a taxi and after heading in one direction hoping for the best we stumbled upon the back of the hotel! Nice, clean and a very welcome shower. We eventually headed out for a wander down Rambuttri Road and Khao San Road. It all felt a bit mad to our very fuzzy heads. At one point mum said 'I dont really think I saw Bangkok last time'. She still managed to miss half the 'interesting' sights i was noticing :-/ Probably just as well night one :) Very welcome sleep after that.
