On this route we stopped at a silk farm to see the silk worms and weavers and dyers in action as well as trying on the finished products. We then headed for the border where we stood for 2 long hours waiting to get in to Thailand. Today we woke up on time and had breakfast in the hotel. We met the two sisters from New Zealand from our group, Lisa and Jen. There was lots for breakfast including green Thai custard and a green fruit that none of us could identify. A nice lady told us it was guava and showed us the juice version too. We met the group and our local guide and walked to the river to jump on a boat. At least this one waited long enough for us to get in :) A really interesting tour...

We woke up at 11am missing breakfast completely :-/ Neither of our alarms went off grrr. We arrived in Bangkok evening time on Tues and you wouldnt believe it. It was actually raining as we landed :-/ We took the new express train into the city and it wasnt till i stepped out that i got the welcome blast of heat that tells you its a different country :) We flagged down a taxi and after heading in one direction hoping for the best we stumbled upon the back of the hotel!
