Hey y'all
Well Mark, Juli, Georgia and I managed to get to the tree top walk in King's Park, though it was actually just a bridge that was quite high, but lovely. We had a very nice afternoon walking through the park (though my brother nearly got us arrested by taking clippings of plants from there....he's getting old...and like my Nan who actually has plants in her garden that you can only find in Kew Gardens...Mmmmm! Hope this doesn't incriminate anyone, I'll deny it to the end!) We sat on the grass and had ice creams to finish it all off to, which I'd never turn down.
On the Wednesday Juli and I went on a free walking tour in Perth looking at the old buildings and the stories behind them. This was quite interesting, though was obviously a free tour!
In the evening I went back into the city to meet Sarah (friend from work in UK) again, and as before ended the evening being rather drunk, not reaching my bed until 5.30am, about an hour before Georgia woke up! After meeting Sarah and her pals, we headed to the Mustang Bar, which was fun dancing the night away. Some guy even proposed on the stage there....how romantic!?! Afterwards we went to The Bog, which was good fun, as there were loads of us, but I think it would be somewhat seedy otherwise. Believe me, I would not attempt to pick up a guy there if you paid me! After the Bog had closed, we still weren't ready to call it a night, so I went back to Sarah'' hostel and stayed there for a couple of hours, before I realised my eyes had begun to close against my will, so I thought it best to go home. Needless to say, I wasn't too good the next day!
The next week, was a particular highlight for me, when Georgia, Juli and I went to Caversham Wildlife Park. I fed kangaroos with my bare hands...even an albino one! I stroked a koala, though apparently they are very viscous animals, so stroked them very gently - Welshy, sorry was unable to get a picture of their paws! Then the best bit of all, I held a wombat called 'Big Bubs'. I thought wombats were quite small animals, but this lady was 25kg (25 big bags of sugar) and she still wasn't fully grown. She was soooo soft too....if she wasn't real I could have easily used her as a pillow! Pictures to follow soon!
That's all for now folks.
