Friday 25th March- today we had no school again as the teachers had a meeting, at capoeira we learnt a weird but kinda funny dance, and they were trying to help us sing along- a lost cause!!We then wetn to Campeche beach and had a drink wtih the capoeira guys- including the maestro!We went down to the beach, where other people were playing capoeira, i ran into the sea, then Faith and I ran along the beach for a bit. We then went to another bar and had some Chopp, with batata fritas and polenta!! Saturday 26th March- did not really do much today! Sunday 27th March- went to Lagoa beach with Charlotte and Faith, we went to an awesome market with loads of stalls, there were two great stands full of musical instruments. I bought a pocket saxaphone but it looks more like a penny whistle! Had lunch over looking the lake- had gorgeous piece of salmon with all the trimmings! We then wetn to the highest view point of the city, Morra da Cruz- it was amazing! We could see the whole of the island and the continent. We then drove back and Andrea, Charlotte and Faith's host mum accidently bumped a car, a guy came over but she pretended she was English and kept saying íts just plastic, its just plastic, funny!In the evening Charlotte and i went to a really nice bar by beira mar, and i had a suco do acai- the berry of the amazon! Monday 28th March- spoke to Franziele today at work- it is like nothing had happened last week-i suppose for most of the children it is quite normal, they almost expect it during part of their childhood. Did another music lesson, and got the children to draw a story/ideas poster of what they thought of the Harry Potter theme tune!Went to the park in the afternoon, chucked it down on the way back!I went to capoeira on my own today, not many people turned up. Eventually Chiquino turned up, and we did some weight work, and a few other very different moves. Got the bus home with Chiquino and dropped my phone in a huge puddle of rain- he told me to throw it away but luckily in the morning it worked again! Tuesday 28th March- can not believe i go to Curitiba in 3 days!Sunny and I went for our final walk along Beira Mar in the evening. Wednesday 29th March- had to buy another bag to take on my travels with me- the high heels i bought simply dont fit in my bag- no joke!!i also bought a berimbau.- the capoeira instrument. However, i have no idea how i am going to transport that to other countries!! Thursday 30th March- was ill this morning, but managed to make it into work for the children`s certificate ceremony. They were so pleased to receieve these rewards, and we were totally amazed at the vast amount of letters that they had all writen us- i wanted to keep them all but i had to simply select some!Was too ill to go to our final girly meal, so i just met the girls at Boutiquim- a random guy came over to me and kissed my hand and said 'i like your work'- i thought he was some odd fellow but turns out he worked for the tv and helped edit our interview with the project!I felt famous!!
