Hey all!!! Well i am finally in Brazil. It is the most amazing place ever!! The 11 hour flight over to brazil acutally went quite quickly! We met up with Davina and Joanna who were going to be our guides for the next week in Sao Paulo. The journey to the hotel was amazing. We went past some real favellas- made me realise that the film City of God was sooooo realistic! the hotel that we stayed in in Sao Paulo was fantastic! We had gorgeous breakfasts, and i took advantage of the swimming pool every day!! On tuesday started our portuguese lessons, and in the evening went to an awesome club where we learnt to salsa, and drank Caipirinha- brazil~s national drink!! On wednesday, it was the birthday of the city and everyone celebrated it by making lots of cakes!! It was also the hottest day in Sao Paulo for 7 years!! On wednesday we went to a market downtown: we bumped into a group of guys dressed in leapord skins and all with drums,chanting a strange chant!! that was cool!!! We also saw a Diet Coke advert being flimed, not sure who the actress was, but reckon it was someone quite famous as there was a big crowd!! On Thursday evening we went to the most amazing club! There was also a samba rehersal for carnvial going on too! we danced for hours nad hours to samba- loads of brazilians came to help us dance which was sooooo fun! I went to leave twice but kept staying! i didnt leave until 4- was so worth it though! I am loving the Brazilian music scene so much!! i was very exhausted on Friday and did not concentrate too well in my final portuguese class! We got up at 5 to catch our plane to Florionopolis.... i took so many photos on the plane- the views were fantastic!! read on to find out how i got on with my first week in Floripa!!
