Well this is my first blog, and I have a lot to say so lets hope I can minimize the babble. Arrived in Bangkok on 23rd March, nice flight and spare seats next to me and lots of leg room whoop. Got in a bright pink taxi to get to our guest house - was very excited lol but then there were a lot of them - so it wasnt just me being lucky. Anyway our guest house was down some dark stinky dodgy alleyway - oooh just like the majority of Bangkok lol. Very dirty but good sight to see - but not a place to stay for long lol. Anyway the room was clean and we had air con and our own bathroom. That night we went to Khao san road (the famous back packer road) well that was a sight lol, Shawn got many offers to see a ping pong show lol despite my presence and we bumped into a smallish elephant down this busy city street very random. Didnt sleep well at night as was still in uk time.
Day 2: We got a tuk tuk and from 11-5 for 20 baht and only got suckered into going to one jewelery shop (who was obbviously his sponsor) but went the Grand Palace - which was very beautiful and a few other lucky buddas and temples - all very pretty - took quite a few pics. in the evening we had a trek into the other part of the city, to try find this Sky hotel (tallest tower in Thailand) and took us ages to find (and I was in very much need of a foot rub lol- lucky shawn). But was well woth it got up to 80 something floor - the highest and it was a revolving floor - amazing view - took pics but u cant really get the effect from them.
Day 3: We got up at 6am and was picked up at 7am to go on our trip to Kanchunburi (excuse spellings - JULIE) where we went on a speed boat type thing to the floating marketing, the famous river Kuai bridge and world war 2 museum, it was a nice place - well a much better improvement from Bangkok. Then we went to Tiger Temple where I got to have a few sanps with the tigers, I was a little bit worried bout this as was thinking they might not treat the tigers well and that they might be drugged but they wasnt they seemed very happy - and was relaxed due to heat. Sooooo beautiful animals - a great experience. We then got droped back at Bangkok to get our night train to Chaing Mai. - YES me on a Night train in the slums -lol god that was a experience lol - got on there and wanted to cry 13hours on this thing and the toilet a whole where u could see th tracks lol (Julie - guessin this is the type of train where u dropped johns expensive tooth brush lol) - Ciara u would not survive this lol. But anwyay I slept a bit woke up every hour (u will see the pics - and what it was like).
Day4
Anyway it was good to get to Chaing Mai anad have a dip in the pool in our guest house. We then met a guy from Holland and a guy Norway - who were going on our 3 day 2night treking trip tomo with us. So that evening we all went to the Night bazar and ate dinner on the typical dodgy night stalls in the roads lol.
Ok willl have to do the rest another day run out of internet time - but am ow in Koh Samui. love to all xxx
