Day 12 - 3rd April
Time to leave Koh Samui - was rather sad - as loved it here and didnt want to leave and it was cool being able to get about with the jeep. Got to Kuala Lumpur and had no accomodation booked and was grand prix weekend and we had no idea what areas were best to stay in as had no guide book and tehre were no internet facitilies in this airport so latched on to this english guy who had a guide book and shared a cab. Went to hostel checked out the room - sorry i mean hole- it was disgusting and walked straigt back out accross road into a hotel - not too pricey. Explored china town and went to another area town to look at a cheaper hotel with a pool used the train and sky train - was sooo cheap :-).
Day 13 - 4th April
Head to china town again in mornign to buy some presents. Then trekked to the station with out back packs to another hotel. Then went out exploring again. Went to the Petronas towers - such a cool site - and the shopping centre underneath so posh. As they only allow a certain amount of tickets given in the morning to go up to bridge we could not do this. So we headed to the KL tower (5th largest telecommuniations tower in the world) Which was awsome views and especially of the petronas towers. also included in our ticket we got to see a mini zoo and had loads of snakes, spiders, a albino monkey, parots, racoons, turtles and few others. It thunderstormed again so another nice walk in the rain. Went back to hotel. Then headed back out in the evening and got some nice sights of the city lit up.
Day 14 - 5th April
Shawn goes home today so very sad. Had a dip in the pool was hoping to get some sun but the hotel building shaded the pool. Got a taxi to the airport and said our good byes and then Shawn saw me of. Of I went to Singapore was a bit worried bout spending two nights on my own. Use the MRT (basicly London underground) and got to a place called little India - got out of train station and oh my god sooooo many people, felt like i was in India. bit scarey and intimidating as I stuck out so badly with me backpack so got me map and of i went found the hostel and was relieved at how lovely and bright, modern and new it was. Very pink and funky so I loved it. Sharing a room with 3 canadian girls, really nice girls and I went out for dinner with them and we had a bit of indian - very unlike me but quite enjoyed it.
