Thought I'd tell you all about my birthday as I had such a lovely day and wanted to brag about it! It started when I woke up feeling very miserable as the thought of being 27 was too much to cope with at 7am! Although, went in the kitchen for brekkie & had a lovely cup of coffee and was given a wonderful present from Guy & Susie, a lovely big fluffy dressing gown along with a set of gorgeous smelling body lotions, body scrub and body wash and a card with words written by Susie that brought tears to my eyes! I was instructed that I didn't need to do any work so I took them up on that offer very quickly! Susie is a great food lover, as I am and wanted to have a lovely lunch and dinner for me, which I was more than happy to have! We spent the entire day eating, cooking and chatting and it was wonderful. We had a feast for lunch, we made home made foccacia bread, and had it with olives, cheese, dips, crackers, pears and freshly squeezed orange juice. We sat outside on the big garden table & chairs in the beautiful sunshine with relaxing music playing in the background & ate until we were bursting full. After lunch, Susie & I stayed outside chatting whilst the boys went back to work. We then enjoyed coffee & chocolate liqueurs until it was time to go inside. I had a lovely long relaxing shower using my new products and then came in to help with dinner. Susie had laid the table making it look all pretty with a vase of flowers picked from the garden and lit candles in the dining and living room. She then popped open a bottle of champagne and we sat and had a glass before dinner. She cooked a beautiful chicken Parmesan dish and as if we hadn't had enough to eat, we had dessert, which we'd planned for weeks.. Profiteroles full of cream and chopped up Snickers bars covered in dark chocolate sauce... Heavenly! After feeling incredibly fat, we all sat down to watch tv for the rest of the evening, with me wrapped up in my lovely new dressing gown and finished off the bottle of champagne! I think its fair to say I had a good birthday, no, not a good birthday, a wonderful birthday.. I don't think they'll ever be the same again actually!! xxx
