Lucy's Big Adventure!
Well, we made it, took 8 days and saw some lovely sights along the way. Went snorkeling in the Ningaloo Reef & saw some beautiful marine life & corals. Then went swimming with the Manta Rays which are about 3 metres long... Well, I say we went swimming but in actual fact, I tried but failed, not being a very strong swimmer, combined with having the waves crashing against my head and not being able to breathe in my mask, I didn't even catch a proper glimpse of one! Felt much like a failure but still, saw some turtles & dolphins on the way back which were worth the trip & the snorkeling in the calm clear blue waters were certainly worth it. There are loads more photos on the website under the WA & Farm Life Album section so take a look when you get a chance.
We are now in Darwin & both looking for jobs & somewhere to live then once we've done that, we'll go our own separate ways and see what happens after that. Gavin has had confirmation of his Visa extension too which is great, so now we're definitely both out here until 2010! All the hard work has paid off!
Was very hard leaving Guy & Susies after all this time & have been spoilt with all the lovely food & wide open spaces and things that going back to the campervan being very cramped and eating tinned soups again was more than enough for me so its nice to get back into civilisation again.
We both have new mobiles now as our Mobile Phone company decided to close down & not tell us! So mine is: 0458 2950250 and Gavin is 0458 467793 & we're now 8.5 hours ahead of your time.. Is very strange all this changing time zones yet still being in the same country! Can't even believe we've been away 6 months now, that's half a year?! Still, 18 months to go so cant be too bad!
Anyway. Hope to be giving you some news on jobs and where we are very soon.
Much love
xxxx
