Pasotti Family
- Slower start as water park (Wild Wild Wet doesn't open until 12 - well so we thought…).
- Walked to the Metro. Managed to miss it and then backtrack to find it (some of the signage is challenging - in this case there were 2 large entry buildings that faced each other, therefore obscured the view from each other).
- Caught the train to the end of the line (Pasir Ris), then walked 12 min to the waterpark.
- Despite google noting it should be quiet, the park was busy. As it happens it's a public holiday in Singapore - Youth Day… This also meant the park opened an hour earlier than reported, so it had already been open an hour before we arrived.
- Did many of the slides, but not quite all (as the cues were long/slow). Unfortunately, the park is tired & not well run. Still had fun, but did far less rides in the day than we managed in Bali.
- Ethan and I had McDonalds for lunch (pass-outs are allowed to the adjoining shopping centre). I got a spicy chicken burger, which was far spicier than I was expecting! I need to calibrate for Asian taste!
- While on the slides, observed Military exercises with fighter jets nearby.
- As it got quieter in the last hours, Ethan got lots of slides in, first with Nanny, then Grandad, and then me. The operator at the top of the drop slide remarked how many times Ethan had been.
- Interestingly, a storm passed with lighting (not that close), and fortunately, they didn't close the slides.
- Immediately after the waterpark, got changed and headed to Night Safari. Used the Grab app (ended up getting a taxi anyway) and had a very talkative driver.
- At the night safari arrived at opening time. Attended the night animals show, which was ok but nothing too special. Then into the tram (with the hundreds of others).
- Despite the large cues, it flowed well. Waited around 20 min for a tram, but it was moving steadily. The tram ride was fine, unfortunately many of the animals were on the other side to Ethan, bit it was good nonetheless.
- After tram, stopped for ice cream, then watched a fire show briefly. Then headed out on the walking tracks. It was a unique, positive, experience exploring a zoo at night. Got to see a lot of nocturnal animals, and others.
- The majority of the animals were out and readily visible.
- Ended up staying until around 10:30 pm, by which time Ethan was very tired.
- Had planned to use the shuttle and metro, but given how tired Ethan was we took another Grab taxi. This worked really well.
