AAAAAAAAAARGH!!! I'm here! In Sydney! Finally off and away! As I write I am sitting in my beautiful hotel room right in the centre of The Rocks, looking out over circular quay and the busy streets where the Aroma festival is just beginning to wrap up. I met Bri on the street corner last night outside her apartment and the multitude of hugs was ridiculous! We were up til 2 in the morning chatting then up at 10 this morning for a quick visit to NIDA before we headed into the city.

We battled our way through public transport and then ridiculous numbers of people up George street (with my 2 giant suitcases) so I could check in at the hotel and drop of my luggage. We could not have picked a worse day to try and do this…but once we made it there the fun began! Bri's friends from NIDA (Michelle, Gab, & Kat) joined us and preceded to work our way through the most fabulous tea, coffee, and food festival I have ever seen. We started with corn on the cob (which I can now happily enjoy without braces! Hurrah!) and that was about all the money I spent because after that we just hit up the free samples big time haha o yeah, stingy much! Oh, I did also buy two $1 cups of coffee!

Honestly, I have never been so full of free food. Dukkah, nougat, chocolate, pudding, fudges, an assortment of sauces and jams…when you know how to work several streets full of tasters there really is no need to buy food! We saw several cupcake stands but I was fairly unimpressed given the high standard of my own cupcakes. There was however a giant $50 cupcake that was pretty cool, but really, that's just a cake parading as a cupcake…

Tonight I'm heading out with Dean and his friend Bec to catch up with a bunch of her friends for dinner and $5 massive pizzas (totally loving the barely spending any money and eating ridiculous amounts right now!) more updates soon! =D
