We arrived at 9.30pm after spending about 7 hours in the bus station waiting for our connecting bus. We got a cab to a hotel, but it was closed. The taxi driver took us to some other hotels, but they were all extortionate. We eventually found an old crispy hands hotel who charged us way over our maximum budget for a really hideous room. We vowed to leave the next day.
The next day we headed into town and went to the train station to book a ticket back to Buenos Aires. The next train was not until the following evening however, so we decided to get the bus back to Bahia Blanca (where we changed buses the day before) since there was a train leaving to Buenos Aires that evening from there.
While waiting for the bus to Bahia Blanca we had an excellent Italian takeout of gnocci and raveoli, so at least it wasn't an entirely wasted journey. We also had a chance to wander around the town, which was quaint but didn't justify the hugely expensive accommodation.
Final thoughts: Expensive for what it is.
Mark out of 10 = 3
Next time... Buenos Aires
