On our teachers day we was treated like a princess! Of course I'm going to tell you why, on our arrival I could see there was students rushing about to get their preparation done in time for their performance, we was told to wait in our room for someone to come in and escort us. We waited for a bit until a student from 4th year came and collected us, we was paired with the opposite gender to escort us into the hall, before that we had MILLIONS of photos taken- yes I've lost count how many pictures they've had of us! A narrator then process to let us in the hall, it was the most awkward thing I've ever done in my life, he held my arm and we went in the hall with confetti thrown at us, handed us a rose, and of course taking loads of photos while applauding. We then was shown our seat on the stage in front of performers who danced, sang us "happy teachers day" song, describing the individual of us (mainly was taking the Mickey out of us of course who doesn't!?) , singing, and then we all danced together under the disco lights. It was a bizarre experience for me because in the UK teachers have their boundaries whereas in the Philippines there is no boundaries! Even most of teachers have students' Facebook which was a little strange. However, after that we was seated again to have our lunch together, it was a privilege to be able to seat with them. The day overall was a very interesting experience and I'm glad to have been able to take part in it.
