Monday after work I called at Coles in Broadway on the way home to do the supermarket shop. We've agreed whose having what cupboards and fridge shelves at home now.
We assumed that as Chris and Tom are Australian that they wouldn't be bothered about spiders but as it turns out they don't like them either so we decided to set aerosol bombs off in the house that kills all spiders and repels them for 3 months so I got some of those from the supermarket also. We set these off on Tuesday, I was last out of the house so covered up the TV etc and set them off before I left for work. Tom was first home and he opened all the windows to get the fumes out and vacuumed up the dead bugs!!
Adam had a gig on Wednesday and I went with Haylie, Tom and Tom's cousin Leon and we had a few drinks, we met a girl called Aliya from Kazakhstan, although she actually lives in Singapore, she was really nice and loved watching the guys play, we invited her to come to their gig at the weekend also.
On Friday at work we should have the Peakbound equivalent of The Amazing Race but it was rained off, we still had the free bar after work and then a few of us went to Bar Century for cheap drinks, I ended up so drunk that I was sick in a taxi on the way home and the taxi driver kicked me out and I had to walk home, I also couldn't find my key in my bag when I got home so I sat outside in the rain until Chris and his girlfriend Georgie came home like an hour later. Great impression on the new housemate! On Saturday I was so hungover and it transpired that I'd actually been sick in the front bit of garden that we have so it was delightful to have to clean that up in my horrendously hungover state! Adam went out for a run with Aaron and whilst he was out I was getting something out of the microwave which is high up and was bitten on my finger, I started to panic as couldn't see what had bit me and I was worried that it was a Funnel Web or something, Chris said best to ring the ambulance just to be on the safe side so I did, in the mean time Adam came home, the ambulance still wasn't here like 10 minutes later so Adam said we should just cancel it as I was clearly not dying and the ambulance would have cost us $500!! We cancelled the ambulance and I'm still ok so not sure what it was...
After tea we watched Man on a Ledge and Chris stayed and watched it with us, we were a little deflated as we should have been at the Coldplay gig but we sold our tickets as we were a little short on money!
On Sunday I met Haylie, Gemma and Aliya at Wynyard Station and we headed to the Busking by the Beach Final, good job the band had a bar tab at the pub as we're still a bit low on funds, got to save for our Christmas trip!!
