So this week, we pretty much just applied for jobs and pottered around the house during the day. On Monday night when Jayne was back from Brisbane she took us to see the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House which was really nice, probably the most iconic things we have seen so far on our travels... Adam got a free trial pass for a gym just on the road which is open 24 hours so he has been going there most days. On Wednesday night we went out for a meal with Julian and his girlfriend Rachel, who's lovely. We went to the Coogee Bay Hotel which is just on the beach front. They did $10 steaks which were awesome, we just had a few drinks there and Julian dropped us off back at Aaron's.
On Friday night, Adam played the gig at Trumps Tavern which Aaron and Julian usually do as obviously Aaron is back in the UK for a couple of weeks and Julian had a works do on. The pub was absolutely dead, usually most of Aaron and Julian's work mates come to the gig which is why it was so busy last week but no-one knows Adam so there was about 4 people in all night. Jacinta, the woman we met in the Irish bar in Wanaka came to meet us for a drink which was nice, she works in the city so said we'd meet up again! After the gig we just got a taxi home as Adam had all the band gear.
Saturday we just had a chilled morning and then went to meet Julian and Rachel in the city in the afternoon, we went to a BBQ at a guy called Liam' house, he is Aaron and Julians boss at work. It was a pretty good day, loads of drinks and shots, Adam took the guitar and ended up playing a few songs at the party which everyone was loving, I even did Guilty Conscience with him (badly) and another girl called Lana did it too. Later on we ended up in a club on Oxford Street, we stayed for a few drinks then we ended up getting some food and going home.
On Sunday, Adam was soooo hungover, I felt fine but he was terrible. I ended up getting some hangover food from the shop, pizza, crisps, chocolate etc and we just watched films.
Been a really good week although we really need to get jobs now, hopefully hear something back this week from the ones we have applied for.
