I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day. ~Vincent Van Gogh
Today was my last day of finals! I think I did well on both and I still had time between them to run into town, hooray! Did some last minute shopping... but then started feeling really yucky so I came back and laid down for a while. Felt a little yucky still, but by the time I was done with my final I was feeling much better! (still a little bit of an unhappy tummy but its not bad at all)
After finals we had a meeting and discussed travel! We leave the Cite for the airport at 4am on Weds, yikes!! I am still really nervous about going through customs, just because I've heard so many horror stories about people being held, but I mean I have nothing to hide and nothing to declare so I'm trying to not worry very much about it! After the meeting we took group pictures! I am totally framing that to put up in my room!
Finally, what I've been looking forward to for the whole trip... the boat ride along the Seine River at dusk. It was absolutely breath-taking. An hour long trip in perfect weather, seeing Paris at twilight and then slowly watching the lights flicker on as we gently drifted down the river. It was a moment of pure magic. Pictures can never do it justice, it was just a moment that will stay with me forever. It was a perfect way to close my journey through Paris.
Tomorrow I'm heading to Giverny, where Monet painted, and to some of the most beautiful gardens in France... then I'll probably run around Paris like crazy and try to finish packing! Ah!! I can't believe that I have about a day left in Paris. I'm going to miss it... It'll take a while to get use to it, but I am so excited about seeing everyone at home again! I still have to figure out what I want for my first meal...hm....
Bon Soir!!
