Today started off rough when my alarm didn't go off and I was late to class but after that...I went to class and then... to the Louvre after having the most delicious bread ever!! Chocolat au pain! Chocolate bread, it was so delicious!! Anyways, it was so exciting just getting to the Louvre. It was my first time on the metro, which is a bit crazy and scary, but I made it through! Very very scary during rush hour, and even trying to find the way from the RER to the Metro.
I bought some things in the store, some presents for people. :) And then we found our way inside. I was so excited because I understood the guard when he asked how old I was and knew how to answer! My french is really improving!
But the Louvre was absolutely breath-taking. It's so HUGE. I mean I could go everyday for a year and still not see everything. There were so many beautiful and amazing things there. Just beautiful art that I've read and heard about for years and now I'm within five feet of it. It's just amazing and surreal.
I'm taken away by the beauty all around me in Paris. I mean this city is thousands of years old, things are so gorgeous and amazing, it's over-whelming. Sometimes I forget that I'm in Paris and then it just hits me.... I'm really here. Wow.
Dinner was interesting. Couldn't find much of the menu that wasn't super meaty and the waiter thought we were funny, getting desserts, and tea but no meal. It was fun. Silly waiter. But he spoke great english.
Tomorrow I'm going out shopping, that's so exciting!!
Well... Bon soir!
