Today was just a chill out day. I slept in and just took things pretty easy in the morning.
Before lunch I went to take some pictures of some cherry blossoms near Okaasan and Otoosan's house. They were absolutely beautiful. Photos just don't do them justice !!!
After lunch I pottered around a bit then went to meet a close friend from school, Yumi with suitcase in tow ! I tried to find a locker to put my suitcase in but were all taken. We ended up having coffee in Starbucks. It was nice catching up and hearing what she is up to. It's funny as we are both looking at career changes. Yumi is working full-time and studying Homeopathy part-time.
After meeting Yumi I headed to Yokohama to met some friends for coffee. We went to have coffee in Sogo. It was great to hear what the Ijima's had been up to. They go scuba diving a fair bit so was interesting to hear where they'd been to most recently. They had not long come back from Thailand.
Finally I headed to stay with one of my host families in Fujisawa. When I got to the station near their house called Kugenuma Kaigan I decided to walk to their place as I thought I new the way. In the dark it is totally different. I got completely lost and had to ring my host Mum, Hatsue to come and find me. Eventually we met one another in the rain. I was drenched when I got to their place.
It was getting late so we ended up going out for dinner to the Red Lobster restaurant near the beach. It was great fun and so great to see them again.
Once we got home I had to ring Masako Sakai, who had been my AFS counsellor when I was an exchange student in Japan. She invited me to to go Hikone in Shiga prefecture and Kyoto too. I was just going to meet her in Kyoto but decided to go to Hikone too and have to leave tomorrow.
After I'd spoke to her I had some Japanese tea and some strawberries whist I watched an interesting tv program on elephants in Africa. Once it had finished I went straight to bed as I was feeling incredibly tired.
