Today I met Jackie and one of Jackie's Irish friends called Jean in Yokohama. We met in front of the clock at Sogo, a big Japanese department store. At every hour on the hour the clock opens. It's similar to the one they had near Daimaru in Melbourne.
First of all we headed to the Yokohama Red Warehouses. There were lots of nice flowers in front of the warehouses. Just gorgeous !!!
We had a walk around the port area and then headed to the Harbour View Park which overlooked Yokohama and was spectacular !
By then we were all feeling pretty peckish so headed to China Town for some lunch. We went to a restaurant that was cheap and cheerful. Jean and Jackie got their meals really quickly but mine took forever. I was about to cancel it when all of a sudden it come out of no where. Must say I was really hungry by then.
Once we'd filled our stomaches with yummy food we went to the Silk Museum. I was really keen to go there as I do silk painting and interested to know more about it. We got to try a hand weaver, which was really cool.
After the silk museum I decided to go home as I was incredibly tired from all the walking around.
I was absolutely exhausted when I got back home to my host parent's place !
