Today I left on my holiday to Japan. It was a great feeling to be on holiday.
On the plane I met a really nice Irish girl from Dublin called Jaki. We got on really well and talked a lot on the way over. They stuffed up my seating and the Korean girl wouldn't move. So, Jaki kindly offered me her seat as it was an aisle seat and could stretch my leg out.
After collecting our bags we headed for the train station to get out our Japanese Rail Passes. It seemed to take forever. They then tried to rush onto the next train, but I just wanted to take my trip. After all I was on holiday.
While we waited for the train Jaki rang a few hostels as she hadn't booked anything. Finally she found a place with a spare bed, so we were both really relieved. Being the start of spring and the cherry blossoms out it was a very popular time of year to be in Japan.
It seemed to take forever to get into Tokyo. We went our own ways to the places we were going to be staying. I am going to stay with my host family in Tokyo near Ebisu. Luckily I caught the last bus and my host Mum met me at the bus stop. I didn't get to their place until about 11:30pm. I was really tired but just so excited to be in Japan again. It is like my second home.
