Yesterday was my rest day, and though I needed to be off my feet, I was really bored and raring to get going. I can only check my e-mail and read my Kindle book on my iPhone so long before I fall into a catatonic state. The top of one of my feet has been hurting, but not while I'm walking, only after when I'm resting. After doing some research (thank you iPhone) it can be one of 3 possibilities - nerves, tendons, or bones. I think it's the nerves, but what do I know. I used kinesio tape on my foot (thank you You tube) that I brought along for my knee, which hasn't bothered me so far. I think it helped. Today's walk was dull along a 2-lane highway, but quick. The last 2 kilometers took me to a small village surrounded by verdant fields. I'm stopping at a small private hostel that is lovely; the nicest one so far. Tomorrow the walk will head back into the mountains after relatively flat, even terrain.

Judy Kinesio tap is a lifesaver! You can leave it on for up to three days as well, so conserve it!
Susan I can just imagine you back home... when you are bored you will casually go out for a 20 mile walk! Glad you are finding some nicer overnight stays.
