Crevalcore, Massa, now Pisa. I will have seen every city in Italy when this is all over. : ) I have seen some amazing places and continue with my amazing lucky streak of amazing people. I had some excellent host in Treviso, where I will now bring home the tradition of roasting chestnuts on a fire for x-mas… thank you Andrea, Lory, and Mr. Rocco. I was also very inspired by Claudia who had just finished an amazing trip being gone for a year and backpacked hardcore in Asia as well as Australia. She slept in the car she just bought with her friend in Australia and moved all over Aussie land then went to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. They backpacked only in small villages and asked locals… that don't know any English if they could sleep in their home and where met with amazing hospitality…. That is the kinda trip I am after. Wow!
Then yesterday I was in Massa and stayed with what is more then likely the most seasoned and well traveled person I have ever met or heard of. Daniele, has gone everywhere… really, everywhere, but India… he is holding out on that one, because he knows it is special and waiting for the right time. I was able to pull out decades of travel knowledge from him and feel confident as ever with my travels and travel plans. Great mentor and person, thank you, Sir Daniele.
BIG NEWS of the day…. I bought my ticket to Africa with the help of Daniele, I was able to buy a one way from Rome to Addis for $442 with a 7 day stop over in Cairo. I was initially looking at one way Rome to Cairo… then Cairo to Addis for $600 so total bonus on that one. I leave Italy Dec 13th and then leave Cairo Dec 21st. I will be in Addis Abbaba for who knows how long… : ) I cannot wait to get to Africa.
SO…. Question to anyone who reads this…. I have 26 days to kill in Italy and have seen just about all the major cities or will in a couple of weeks. What would you do with 26 days in Italy????? That I haven't already done?????
Ciao, Grazie
Kevin
