… Budapest… the people I have met here are so amazing and so friendly. My host the lovely Annamarie and I went out on the town my first night in Buda. We had an excellent dinner, live jazz singer, Hungarian goulash, and amazing conversation with an amazing Hungarian women. What more would you want to see in Budapest? We then strolled through the downtown area of Budapest and went to a couple of really cool bars and we sang and danced the night away (including a couple of impromptu street dances). Loads of fun and had a great time.
The next day we went out to a more rural part of Hungary where Anamarie's family lives, as we walk to the house we picked fresh plums and berries along the way because they just grow all over the neighborhood where Annamarie's family lives and what an amazing family they are. We met her mom, grandparents and sister, her grandparents are amazing, grandpa is 92 and mamma is 80 and they don't look a day over 60. I would have loved to been able to talk with them more, but could not speak Hungarian : ( we then had an amazing dinner at Annemarie's moms house with amazing Hungarian dishes. Then I went to a party with Annemarie's friends while she went to another party that we would meet her at later.
There were tons of cool people at this party and had a great time talking with them very interesting and very fun people. Learned a new drink called furtch not sure on the spelling, but it is white wine with co2 water, its interesting. Then we went to the party that Annemarie was working at and stayed out till 6am dancing to techo…not my thing, but when in rome…
The next day the same friends I went to the party with went to the sizget festival and I went along. Where we saw… Al, you are gonna blow your mind on this, Billy Talent, and the Muse. Billy, was the best it was awesome seeing Billy talent in Budapest, just awesome. Took loads of pics and video.
Tomorrow I am off to Prague…
So… write later, sorry my internet has been limited in Buda
Rock on
