Prague, Czech Republic. What a cute little big city this is. I arrived yesterday and met Marketa CS and another surfer she had from Belgium Michael, really good people. I went out today and explored Prague and saw lots of it. I went to Prague Castle and all over old town square where there was some amazing local foods and a Dixieland band playing, good stuff. I also went to the communist museum, and this was really fascinating to see how badly and how recently communism affected the people of the Czech Republic. The museum was very good at portraying how the Czech's lived under communism up until 1989 when they had the "velvet revolution" and the people overtook the communist government here in Prague, really amazing and horrible history associated with communism in Czech.
After the museum I walked all over the town and I hopefully lined up a night at the famous Prague opera house (I took a picture of it and it looks really cool) I am on a waiting list for Friday and Saturday night. Then for tomorrow I plan to go to this really sweet looking jazz club. Prague, has loads of jazz and live music venues very excited. Tomorrow night I will be with CS Yuliana for one night then I will be with CS Petr until I leave for Romania on the 23rd, and Petr seems like he could be a real life "the dude" I cant wait, it should be fun.
I cant forget to mention on my last night in Budapest I again had a lovely dinner with my amazing host Annamaria ( I could have diner with her every night and be a happy man she was loads of fun). Then after dinner I met up with my old buddy from Stillwater High School Tomas "Tommy" Szabo. It was so much fun meeting him after seven years and bs'n like we where still in High School. I met his GF and she was very nice it was some good old reminiscin time.
Till next time, keep your stick on the ice
Kevin
PS
Judy --glad to hear you are less apprehensive…now, wait until Africa…. : )
Uncle Greg--I loved the alps as you can see you were right on. I plan to go to either Denmark or Hamburg after Berlin in early September and also plan to look into going to Bavaria since it is so close to Munich. I love the AmDam story…. Sure it was by accident ;)
Sharon C- Yeah, the swiss part of the trip was really amazing as was seeing Nice like you mentioned before…I cant wait to hear where else you have been. : )
S.O.G- I love your posts, they are just so encouraging in a way… I am as energetic (times like 10, you would be annoyed with me in like 10 seconds now instead of my normal 30-40sec ;) ) it really is amazing just being out here figuring things out on your own and loving it so much. I definitely see how this has been the best decision thus far in my life and it just adds to the energy and happiness.
Auntie Katie---Yep, I went to Luzern and it was amazing as you can see.
Denise/Clymer family- Yeah, Clymer … : ) I think for my b-day I don't know where I will be yet, but defiantly have a party in my honor and make sure mom makes an ice cream cake(I don't want her getting rusty) and then if there are leftovers ship it to me ;) Yeah, whenever I get back I will have to have cooking/Drinking Q and A. I have learned loads of amazing new dishes and how to make them plus fun and new drinks to make. I think in the time I have been away my cooking skills have doubled or tripled. The goulash in Hungary is made just like a soup. It is a good soup with hardy junks of potatoes, beef and veggies they make it like a big stew in a pot. Grandmas, I think is better in a way I like the noodles added to it, they don't do that in Hungary, but the soup/sauce is better so I guess you could add that to noodles and have a grandma super dish….
Mom--ummm you ask me so many questions I forget half of them… I am having fun and staying safe : ) I have only hitchhiked the one time and it was so great I am gonna try and do it more when possible. It only took me 30min the first time then like 2mins the second so I have not needed to wait long at all. The people that have picked me up where totally amazing a young couple with kids and a young dude on his way to his friends. SO, yeah its all good… love you stay safe. I am gonna go find a gang to join…ahha : )

Mom OK. Let's talk about a birthday party for Kevin. Friday, September 10th. Location TBD. I'll make the ice cream cake. All friends and family of Kevin reading this are invited. Email me, Kevin's mom Margo, at [email protected] so I will know how big to make the cake! We'll miss you Kevin but at least we will have ice cream cake. I promise to make you an ice cream cake when you get home. Don't join any gang. Just keep on being careful. You continue to amaze me! I love you. Stay safe. Mom
