Last night in Prague had to be one of the coolest and most diverse nights I have had. I had met up with some CS that were staying at my last hosts place and went out drinking in the old town square of Prague. There we hung out and met up with a Japanese dude and a German dude they had met the night prior. So, at this table in the center of the old town square we had, two Dutch, one German, one Japanese, one American, and then a couple from Finland came over and talked with us. It was really fun just hanging out in the middle of this square and talking to this diverse base of people. We all had loads of fun and it was really interesting talking with the German guy because he had worked in St. Paul for 3M back in the 90's and had traveled to the Imation headquarters in Oakdale a couple of time for business, just blocks away from where I grew up, what a crazy small world.
Then I came back to my host for last night Yuliana and her husband. Who are immigrants from Russia and living in the Czech Republic. They had another CS from Germany staying last night as well. So, when I got back from the old town square you had one German, two Russians, and one American. It was a great time talking with them. We had great conversations about Russia and its political problems and the history of the Balkan region. It was really fascinating to hear more about Russia from some Russians.
What a good, fun, and diverse night. Today I am off to my final CS Petr until I leave for Romania on the 23rd. This guy sounds like "the Dude" so it should be loads of fun.
Prost
