Today we were supposed to go to Ueno Park and check out the museums but... due to last night's activities we kind of wasted the day. Today we were up earlier than most mornings and we decided to take a quick train ride to Tokyo station to see what was going on around there. Unfortunately there wasn't much going on, so we headed back to Akihabara and did some shopping. Today it snowed heavily! It was pretty cool. At first when we woke up it was a bit rainy and we were thinking "well guess it's going to be a bit wet." Whilst we were eating breakfast at the hostel we were peeping out the window and the rain slowly turned to snow. We ventured out and by the time we caught the train to Akihabara it was full blown snowing. God! What didn't we do today! As today was Sunday we decided to check out some of the shopping districts rather than try and bustle through a museum or the like. So after I ate a breakfast of hot tea, toast and soup at the hostel (Shannon ate a muffin and 3 cans of green tea) we caught the train to, firstly, Ikebukuro. Today we made the move from Fukuoka to Tokyo, our final stop for the journey. The train ride took about 7 hours so we were up bright and early at ten to six. Yikes! On the plus side we didn't have to fight any crowds on our walk to the station and we got to see the sun rise. I got some pretty cool pictures from the train actually.
